I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it a thousand more - if men don't have anything in the world, they have the audacity. In fact, men may be the most audacious creatures to ever walk the planet. Now, if this does not apply to you because you have one of those phenomenal cosmic men who listen and don't give you an aneurysm, kindly disregard. Have we not all collectively experienced this at least once? Prime example being Mount Rushmore. Have four women ever had their likenesses carved into the literal side of a mountain??? No??? Instead, folks travel from around the United States to look at four dusty ass white men made out of rock. It absolutely bewilders me, and for WHAT? Yeah, I know, they're our fOuNdInG fAtHeRs. If y'all haven't noticed, America has some pretty severe Daddy issues and they're probably the root of those. Not to mention, they'd roll over in their graves at the idea of carving Rosa Parks into the side of a mountain, or Frida Kahlo, or Sacagawea. Fast forward to 2022 and these fuckers somehow have more audacity than they did in 1776. The audacity to expect a woman to put out after he buys her dinner. The audacity to treat his treat his girlfriend like shit when he has a receding hairline, I could go on and on. Has nobody made them aware of the fact that they, as a species, would probably have gone extinct half a million years ago, had it not been for their divine feminine counterpart? "Honey, where are my keys?" "Honey, what time is my appointment?" Not knowing their asses from a hole in the ground. Don't get me wrong, I love my man as I'm sure you all do, but fuck. Maybe part of the problem is that we let them act however and they know we'll still be there. As women, we need to be louder. Don't be quiet about things that make you uncomfortable just to keep peace. Call them out on their shit and hold them accountable. Make them severely uncomfortable. Be even more audacious than they are, unapologetically.
